Free pattern Country chick boot cuffs

Looking for something jazz up your autumn outfit?  Want to add another accessory? These country chick boot toppers are a great way to do just that. They look great with boots and are also great with gumboots to go and feed animals etc.



Jazzing up an outfit

These add a bit of something extra so it doesn't look so plain and are great if you have a family outing or are going out somewhere special. I wear my boot cuffs even with gumboots in the winter time to go and feed the animals then after I take my gumboots off I just wear them with my slippers ugg boots are the best aye.

Country chick boot toppers

You will need:


  • 10 grams of 8ply yarn
  • 4 1/2mm needles (you can use double pointed needles and knit in the round or use straight needles) 

You will need to know how to:

  • Cast on
  • Knit
  • Purl
  • Cast off

Abbreviations:

  • K -knit
  • P -purl
You can find an free knitting sheet of abbreviations here Knitting abbreviations and more resources over on the Resources page
Cast on 58 stitches (these will stretch quite a bit so size doesn't matter too much)

Row 1 -20 *K2, P1, repeat from * until the end of the row

Cast off using the stretchy edge cast off, or here is the Guide on how to do a stretchy cast off

You could also add buttons to the side of the boot cuffs at the top underneath each other or side by side.



Before any of you ask yes it is spring here, but I know most of you live its now autumn so I thought I'd create this free pattern for you.  Have fun making your own country chick boot toppers and enjoy your lovely autumn weather with all the leaves everywhere.
