How to pass slipped stitch over (psso) in 4 easy steps

Not sure how to pass a slipped stitch over? Do you need to know how to psso for a pattern or stitch? Here is a step by step tutorial to help you learn how to pass a slipped stitch over in 4 easy steps

Step by step guide to pass slip stitch over

1. Knit to where you would like to pass slipped stitch over (psso) or slip a stitch (s1)

2.Put the stitch on the left hand needle you would like to slip on the right hand needle without knitting it.

Here is what the slipped stitch should look like on the back.

3.Knit the next stitch on the left hand needle.

4. For a slip stitch (S1) keep knitting as your pattern says.  For a pass slipped stitch over (psso) with the left hand needle pick up the slipped stitch and bring it over the top of the stitch you just knitted, taking it off the needle.
