Today’s interview is with Emmy, the little girl who was made an honorary princess in the AutumnCourt, if you’ve seen my free short story campfire you will probably remember her from there. This is an interview ahead of the next short story in this series about Emmy’s story.

2026 goals and words of the season.

Hi friends, I can’t believe it’s a new year already!!! Thanks for joining me here today and I appreciate you all sticking around as my health continues to be up and down, managing and coping with 10+ chronic illnesses can be hard at times. In today’s post I’m sharing my 2026 goals on of which is to spend more time blogging here, my word of the year and more. 

Campfire celebration

When I attended the Kings Daughter Writing Camp in March this year I went to the motivational meadow and found photo prompts to create a story from, I choose two of these and decided to created a short story about the Autumn Court and their celebration.  

What's that stitch? Andalusian stitch

Andalusian stitch is a nice easy stitch which uses only knit and purl stitches, making it perfect for beginners.  Come and learn what this stitch is, how to do andalusian stitch and get few project ideas for using this stitch.  

Winter 2024 poem collection

Winter is a time for being snuggled up in front of the fire with a good book. Here is a collection of poems I have written over winter this year. 

It's our 6th Birthday!!!

The studio is buzzing, balloons are every where - It’s our 6th Birthday!!!

It's also 6 years since I started designing patterns and weaving stitches one at a time. Just over a year later I was diagnosed with two chronic illnesses within months of each other. Thanks for all of your support, comments and messages. I appreciate all of you and thank you for being here.

Cottage Life Summer 2024

Hi friends, welcome to our cottage life update about things we have been up to and happening around the cottage. Things get hectic time to time due to the rollercoaster of ups and downs of chronic illness and flare ups that are unpredictable, summer is usually easier though.  I hope you have been well and enjoyed your summer too or if your in the Northern Hemisphere your winter.  Summer has now been and the days will soon get cooler and Autumn will be upon us before we realize it.
