Simple Garden Scarf Project

Picture of a knitted garden scarf knitting project

I thought I would share the simple garden scarf  I have been knitting.  This scarf pattern I designed when I first started again in my 20's and was the 3rd project I knitted, designed in a simple stocking stitch so I could improve my garter stitch and purl stitches.  Reminding me of the garden paths at the garden I used to visit with family members. I decided to start knitting it again to update the photos of this scarf as the other one I gifted to charity.

Knitted in memory of my family member who I used to go to the garden with and who passed away earlier on this year.

Free Simple garden scarf knitting pattern

The simple stocking stitch scarf was the first pattern I designed after I learnt how to do purl stitches and after I learnt that stocking stitch would roll up if it didn't have a border.  The scarf was inspired by walks through the Botanical Gardens in Auckland with family members, when I went to visit them and started knitting again sitting out in their garden reminded me of this memory when I was a child.
