Knitting Project: a black cat part 1

I thought I would share the black cat  I have been knitting lately for my office. I love cats and used to have four of them, now I have just one cat who is mischief and gets into as much a toddler.

Materials 


Yarn weight: DK/8Ply 

Yarn used:  
  • Odd bits from $2 shop balls of yarn, 100% acrylic in black, white and light pink

Place yarn bought from: 
  • $2 shop yarn

Needle sizes used: 
  • 4 1/2mm straight needles (30cm long)

Other tools used:
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle/ tapestry needle 
  • Tape measure

About the project 

I love cats and wanted to make a soft toy to go in my office, I'd had this pattern on my to knit list for quite a while.  I think the animals look quite cute the cat is one of my favourites.  I decided to knit the cat in similar colours to my cat Mischief.  There is a few clothes and knitkinz home items that also go with the knitkinz animals. I'm knitting some clothes at the moment a yellow sweater and have knitted a pair of green pants. I decided to knit a yellow sweater as its the colour for endo and green cause I love to wear green.  I'm unsure what home items to make, I want to make a mug and I might make the arm chair too. Here is a few project photos from what iv'e knitted so far:
