Yes I've started knitting Christmas decorations already! I made these using a kit I got a few years ago with a knitting magazine. My children love their elves and loved these knitted elf Christmas decorations.
The kit
Here is the kit I got free with a Simply knitting magazine a few years ago, i'd put the kit aside and never knitted it. It came with everything I needed to knit the knitted elf Christmas decorations - except for the knitting needles. Pattern is called 'Santa's helper' by Kirstie McLeod. Here is the kit ready to knit.
Knitted elf Christmas decorations
The knitted elf Christmas decorations were very quick to knit up. I Since both my children wanted one I decided to just make the elf one sided so they could both have one. Good thing I had some spare ribbon and buttons as I'd lost the buttons out of the kit and do you think I could find them anywhere? No where to be found. I glued the felt hat, ribbon and ric rac on with a hot glue gun. children :-) This was a perfect for an afternoon of knitting. These knitted elf Christmas decorations are going to look prefect on our Christmas tree filled with lots of other knitted decorations. What are you knitting for Christmas?
