Montessori materials can be quite expensive so I thought i'd make these DIY montessori colour blocks. This knitting pattern is for the first colour box which includes the primary colours. It is simple and easy to make suitable for a beginner.

Finished DIY montessori colour blocks
Here are the montessori colour blocks after they have been stitched up. They are displayed in a box, I just used a food storage container but you could use any container to put yours in.
Here are the colour blocks after they have been matched together. My youngest will also make a pattern out of these eg. red, yellow, blue, red, yellow, blue.

These look great, I can imagine all sorts of colour games that you could play with them.
Awh thanks, yes there are quite a few games you can play. My oldest has started using them to make houses similar to the ones you can make using playing cards.
