How to cast on
Start knitting today and come and learn how to cast on!
There are many different ways to cast on your knitting. My favourite cast on is the long tail cast on as it provides a stretchy edge, for all of you who knit tightly this is a really good cast on method in knitting. The provisional cast on has a few different ways of casting on, the one below is the easiest way.

How to cast off
There are a few different methods of casting off your knitting, some produce slightly different results. My favourite cast off is the stretchy cast off which of course provides a stretchy edge. This method is also quite good for neckbands on jumpers and cuffs on socks (when knitted from the toe up). The stretchy cast off also pairs well with a long tail cast on and both the edges will be stretchy and look quite similar which is important if your knitting blanket squares, blankets or scarves.
