Here are my book reviews for March. I love to read and I've started keeping a list every month along with a reading journal. There's a range of Amish books by different authors, a book about a clean winter romance book and a devotional.

My favourite book of the month was When you returned by Havelah McLat, I loved it so much so I will start the reviews with that one.

When you returned By Havelah McLat
This one I read in January as a beta reader and I loved it so much I signed up to be apart of the cover reveal and launch team for Havelah. I'm excited to let you know that When you returned just launched this month and is now available to order!
I really loved the story line and the back story that gave the characters depth and really bought them to life. It showed the way they were both feeling and their love was portrayed really well. Proving that you don’t need to add spice to create a beautiful clean romance. I love the way Havelah writes and explains the details throughout the book bringing the imagery of the novel to life in your mind. A beautiful ending to a winter romance novel. It’s a great book that I really enjoyed reading, if you love a clean romance this is a must read!!!
Amish peace: simple wisdom for a complicated world by Suzanne Woods Fisher
This was such a great book full of action steps you can take in your own lives. I love how the book is broken down into different sections for the different areas of life. The addition of the Amish proverbs and scriptures from the bible were all really good.
The simple wisdom throughout is really good and it’s nice hearing more about the Amish way of life too. I love how as a community they really come together for each other.

Blessings By Laura Story
Such a beautiful devotional it’s amazing!!!
It was really good to listen to and full of knowledge and grace. I love how each chapter is set out with scriptures, quotes, reflections. Beautifully written, sometimes it’s hard to see blessings through tough times or that maybe God is using that hard time to bless you in a way that you can’t see yet. When I picked up this book I hadn't realized it was a devotional so I read it like a book which it was still great to read and to reflect on. However, it is a book I'll come back to and use as a devotional alongside my morning prayer and bible study time.

Written in love by Kathleen Fuller
Such a great book, interesting story line who knew a miss delivered letter would start a pen pal and friendship too. The struggles of family life, trying to fix things after trails they’ve done though. The characters have a lot of heart and there’s a beautiful depth to the story too.

The promise of a letter by Kathleen Fuller
Such a great book I enjoyed hearing more about Leanna’s family along with Leanna and Romans family. While part of a series, this one is book 2 you could read these as a stand alone though I think it misses the backstory of how things happened though Kathleen does explain some things throughout briefly.
Heartbreaking in parts, I think especially for those who have experienced the same or similar things. I was good to see Roman grow in faith and him try and reconcile with his brother too. I loved hearing more about the farm Leanna and her family live in along with their community.

Words from the heart by Kathleen Fuller
I love this book and what a beautiful story and back story woven into it. About overcoming the past and moving forward even if it’s not something you thought you would too. It’s a beautifully told story Kathleen describes the difficulties of a chronic diagnosis with a realness and understanding. The toughness of letting love go, having belief, love, hope and above all faith in God.
A great end to the story and while it could be read as a stand-alone I’m glad I’ve read it as a series. It’s a perfect ending to the series.

Listening to love by Beth Wiseman - An amish journey book 2
Another great book in the series and like the first you’ll want to keep reading to find out more. What a story with unexpected turns and twists in events. I enjoyed hearing more about Mary and Levi and also hearing about Natalie and Levi too oh how much their lives both changed.
It’s a wonderful read and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves Christian fiction and or Amish novels.

Hearts in harmony by Beth Wiseman
Such a great book Mary and Levi are such lovable characters as is Adeline a widow. I loved the story of Adeline’s life and her late husbands cousin. Mary and Levi both share a passion for music though it’s not their way, they become friends and well the rest I won’t spoil. You’ll have a hard time putting this book down as you’ll want to keep turning the pages to read more about them.

A beautiful arrangement by Beth Wiseman - An amish journey book
A great ending to this series, I loved hearing more of Lydia and Samuels story. I'd been wondering how things worked out between the two of them after their marriage. It was such a beautiful ending to this series and a beautiful story as well. The two of them have grown and have learned more about each other as this book went on. I really enjoyed this series and hearing more about these characters and their lives.

The Amish sweet shop by Emma Miller, Laura Bradford, Mary Elis
Great stories for Valentine’s Day or any day really. I love how each of these stories is connected to each other through the sweet shop. I wasn't expecting these stories to all be about the same sweet shop being written by different authors but it was really good and added to the stories as you learnt more about the characters. A beautiful collaboration between all three of these authors.
The Sweetest Courtship by Emma Miller
What a beautiful story and such a great read too. His mother seems a bit strange at times but her heart is in the right place. I loved seeing friendship bloom, the Sweet shop grow and the growth of a family too. I love how the community pulled together to help Jacob after a mishap.
The sweetest truth by Laura Bradford
A beautiful story of overcoming hard times, finding a friend and the gifts she received were amazing!!! I loved the ending of this story but wished it was a bit longer too as I would have loved to of heard more about their lives.
Nothing tastes so sweet by Mary Elis
I loved the story line of this book, the mystery and how the outcome of that effected the person and their family too. Heartbreaking to hear of the loss of Hannah’s husband while she is pregnant.
