I thought I would share the chunky autumn throw I knitted. This chunky throw is quick and easy to knit up, it is a free pattern by Paintbox yarns. I knitted it with the first colour pack I've ever bought it is called an autumn leaves colour pack by paintbox. I decided to start knitting it for autumn to decorate the house for autumn and also brighten up the room.

About the project
I love autumn of course since I'm an autumn court faerie. Part of decorating the home for autumn is pulling out different throws and cushions for the couch. I saw this one and thought it would be perfect for our autumn celebrations with the chunky yarn used. I had thought there was a free pillow to match the throw as well I couldn't find it so I'd decided to make up my own stripy cushion to match the throw at some stage. Then what did I find today when looking for the paintbox yarn to add the link above? The free pattern for the weekend cushion to match it. It's ok you can laugh, dunno why I couldn't find it then but I've found it now and have added the link here for you in case you'd like to knit it. While I'd finished the throw I'd put off stitching it up for quite a while, there was so so many ends to thread in.

Tip for anyone knitting stripes, thread ends in as you go about every 2nd change of colours so you don't end up with a lot at the end like I did.

This throw is so cozy and warm to snuggle up under on the cold days. It is perfect for the back of the leather couch to stop anyone from getting cold when they sit on the couch.Often the little wizards will pull the throw down and snuggle under.
