I haven’t done too much reading this month and only read a few books. I read only 1 nonfiction book and 4 fiction books, 1 a series and one from a new author I hadn’t heard of. Her book is so amazing, if you haven’t read it you’ll want to!!! Whether you still wish it was summer, love summer so like me decide to read it in winter time or another season.

The upside of being down by Jen Gotch
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 starsStarted reading on 1st August and finished on 3rd August
This was recommended to be it’s a great read. A honest account of what it’s like getting a diagnosis, depression, having bipolar etc. that side which not a lot of people see the struggle to get diagnosed etc.
Told in a light hearted way instead of the doom and gloom this book could have due to the subjects in it. The best book about depression I’ve read!!!

The steadfast heart by Tracie Peterson
Started on 3rd August and finished on 3rd August⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4 stars
Another great book by Tracie, I love her writing and this book was a great read.
Read it when I wasn’t feeling too good and it had a nice storyline. I loved hearing about the house, the people who lived there and it was interesting with the historical content of the book. I’m not someone who loves history but I do enjoy the historical content within Tracie's stories.

Forever summer by Havelah McLat
Read on 14th August and finished on 14th August
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️5stars
Wow, what a great read, it made me wish it was summer here too instead it’s winter here in NZ. The beach house sounded amazing and the way it was written made it easy to imagine what it must look like. A great story of friendship, loss, recovery, love, and coming together as a family. I wish there was more to the story, as in I want to hear more about them like a series. It was one of those really good books, you love reading and are sad that the stories ended. Likeable characters, interesting but lovely storyline, set in a period of grief but doesn’t have that heavy sadness to the story either.
Recommend to anyone who loves a great summer read, love story or just a great read.

Refining Fire by Tracie Peterson
Read on 20th August and finished on 20th August⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 stars
A good story about the Maddison Bridal school, friendships and Militines story of love and her friendships. The aunts sure have their hands busy with all of the girls and the house with making the most of the gardens. The characters grow within their faith as Militines story comes to life as you read it, through everything Militine finds someone she loves, trust and together their love and love for God grows over time. Not without life’s twists and turns through all of the events that happen etc it’s jammed back with everything that is happening.

Love everlasting by Tracie Peterson
Read on 21st August and finished on 21st August
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4 stars
A great book and the end to a great series, it was a good book. I couldn’t wait to find out how things ended with all of their lives. A storyline I wondered how it was going to end up next with its unexpected turn of events. I’d wondered since the beginning of the series how Abriannas life would end up and who it would be to. A brilliant book about friends, family and untrusty people and God's love shining through the story.
