I love how practical facecloths are while still being pretty, these would make a lovely baby gift. Knitting patterns include the pretty dipped facecloth and the pretty baby facecloth. The pretty baby facecloth knitting pattern is quite easy and knits up quickly while the dipped facecloth knitting pattern is a little bit harder.

Pretty baby facecloth pattern
You will need:
- 4 1/4 mm knitting needles
- Yarn needle/tapestry needle
- Scissors
- 50gram ball of aran/10ply cotton
You need to know how to:
- Cast on
- Knit
- Purl
- Cast off
- Thread ends in
Abbreviations:
- Yfd - Yarn forward
- M1 - Make 1 sitch
- K - Knit
- Sts - Stitches
Pattern:
Cast on 38 stitches
Row 1- 4: Knit
Row 5: k4 sts *k4 , P6, Repeat from *
to last 4 sts, k4 sts
Row 6: K4 sts, Purl to last 4 sts, k4
sts
Row 7: Knit
Row 8: K4 sts, Purl to last 4 sts,
k4 sts
Row 9: k4 sts stitches *P5,
K4, P1 repeat from * to last 4 stitches, k4 sts
Row 10: K4 sts, Purl to last 4
sts, k4 sts
Row 11: Knit
Row 12: K4 sts, Purl to last 4
sts, k4 sts
Repeat rows 5-12 x4
Next 4 rows: Knit

DeleteThanks for sharing your pattern. I am going to try and knit a facecloth. The ones I buy never seem to last very long. Can't think why I haven't thought to knit one before.
