Cupcakes good enough to eat

I love to bake but it never lasts long in my home, here is a few cupcakes that look good enough to eat.  I knitted cupcakes for a knitting display I had at my local library.  Since then the knitted cupcakes have become a knitted table piece, my friends and family love the knitted cupcakes. I've lost count of how times I have laughed at friends and family who thought they were real until they picked them up to eat.

On top of the photo at the top is a white rectangle with the words "knitting journal". Underneath is a sage green rectangle with two white stripes and the words "Cupcakes good enough to Eat" and at the bottom the words "Cozy Woodland Cottage Knits. blogspot.com. About the completed project

I love to bake especially cupcakes but they never last long of course. So I decided to knit some for the coffee table. My children often grab these knitted cupcakes and put them on the table along with the teapot, mugs, plates etc and have their own little knitted tea party.  I've made a few of these for gifts for birthdays, friendship day, thank you gifts and for tea parties for children.

These bring back memories of my Nana's baking and all the times I spent in the kitchen baking morning tea or afternoon tea with my Nana. If she had visitors coming over we always baked before they arrived.  She made sure the table pieces and settings were pretty and everything set up for our own little tea party with real tea (not that I was supposed to have tea) I still love tea even now.

These knitted cupcakes make great gifts for friends and family. The knitted cupcake pattern has about a page and half of ideas for knitted cupcakes as well.  The patterns are suitable for beginner knitters who have the skills listed above. The knitted butterfly also has instructions for how to make up the butterfly along with a photo which is also quite good.

Happy Knitting friends, do you make knitted food too?
